He will serve on the Executive Committee from 19 June 2023 and will be responsible for all of the group’s technology services, as well as driving scalable solutions for the global tech platform.

Vooral die laatste zin “our products make recruitment easier, faster and fairer(?)” is verbazingwekkend in het licht van de schokkend slechte, recente update van de Stepstone site, waar ik een week geleden in een drieluik aandacht aan besteedde.

Bedos is afkomstig van Jellysmack, waar hij slechts anderhalf jaar heeft gebivakkeerd als CTO, een bijzonder korte periode voor een C-level executive. Met zijn overstap naar Stepstone keert hij weer terug in het retail & e-commerce domein waar hij bij Expedia (11,5 jaar) zijn sporen heeft verdient.
Zou de komst van Bedos te verklaren zijn uit de ambitie van een IPO van Stepstone bij Axel Springer? Stepstone’s site is in het perspectief van Axel Springer ongetwijfeld verbeterd, en met de komst van Bedos is de lege zetel van CTO binnen de Stepstone Group opgevuld. Niet onbelangrijk voor een bedrijf dat voor 100% online leeft.
En Bedos heeft natuurlijk al een mening over het recruitment domein:
