Axel Springer is een verrekt grote uitgever. En Stepstone is sinds mensenheugenis onderdeel van die verrekt grote uitgever. Maar vanwege een recente herstructurering is dat vanaf 29 april 2025 niet langer het geval. Want vanaf die datum gaan de bladen en de online properties ieder hun eigen weg. Axel Springer (Bild, Business Insider, Politico, Welt, Forbes, Newsweek maar ook Emarketer) focust zich op de bladen terwijl een nieuwe entiteit AS Classifieds (Stepstone, Totaljobs, Appcast en AVIV (= een soort Funda buiten Nederland)) wordt opgericht voor de online labels.

Natuurlijk zijn er bij deze scheiding van wegen de obligate (LLM-generated?) loftuitingen, zoals deze van Philipp Freise (KKR):
