En we zijn alweer aanbeland bij de laatste keynote van de dag. En deze wordt verzorgd door Federico Pistono (CEO konoz) die het gaat hebben over Robots Will Steal Your Job, But That’s OK :

Over the past four years, headlines warned us that a wave of joblessness is coming. They claim that advances in robotics, machine learning, and automation are ushering in an era of unprecedented change. Do these concerns reflect reality?

Some claim that we have seen this story before, and that we have nothing to worry about. Others think that this time is different, and that we’re about to experience the most dramatic shift in modern economic history, one for which we are not prepared.

In this presentation, researcher and entrepreneur Federico Pistono, author of “Robots Will Steal Your Job, But That’s OK”, will separate the myths from reality by presenting the state of the art and forecasts of machine intelligence and its economic impact.

Voor de volgende breakout sessie heb ik gekozen voor Prof. Dr. Armin Trost ( Author, Consultant and Professor at Furtwangen University ). Hij gaat een big picture praatje houden met als titel: The Agile Future of HR and Talent Acquisition. Ahhh… agile… het modewoord van dit decennium… En wat te denken van de aankondiging van zijn praatje:

Human resource management in the 21st century will have little to do with what has been promoted in recent years or decades and written in the text-books. Instead of finding “the right people, at the right time and at the right place” we will make the employees and their individual preferences, talents, life plans, and ambitions the focus of attention.

We will say goodbye to mechanistic, technocratic, and often bureaucratic approaches. They fit in a past that was stable and predictable. If you regard your employees as your most valuable asset, you will give them freedom, trust, and responsibility. Moreover you will appreciate individuality and individual life-plans.

Human resources management will therefore deal less with hierarchical processes, systems, responsibilities, KPIs, etc., in the future. Rather, it will be about how to empower teams to think on their own responsibility, communicate, collaborate, learn, and develop their talent in the long term.

HR-Technology will be there to make the life of managers and employees easier instead of supporting the HR-function only. For instance, in the area of recruiting all this will lead to a more intense usage of social networks, artificial intelligence, big data, data mining etc.

Ik ben benieuwd hoe dit in een half uurtje valt te proppen.

En we gaan meteen door met de tweede keynote van de dag: Aneto Okonkwo, product manager bij Google. Okonkwo’s praatje draagt als titel Future of Search. En dat kan natuurlijk van alles betekenen, maar hier is de beschrijving van het programmaboekje:

A key promise of Artificial Intelligence is delivering an intelligent assistant. The intelligent assistant should understand your context and should be able to answer any question. The assistant should help you with whatever you need, wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

This is no longer a future vision; it’s already here and it’s just the beginning. In the future, you will use new ways to interact with the assistant and search will become more intelligent, natural, and conversational.

En Textkernel’s jubileumevent Intelligent Machines and the Future of Recruitment, kortweg #Intelligence16, gaat van start met en welbekende naam in recruitmentkringen: Glen Cathey. Acht maanden geleden was hij ook al in Nederland, toen voor het SOSUEU event van vorig jaar, en toen was het al een genot om hem op het podium te zien. Nu dus voor de tweede keer en hopelijk laat het Internet ons ditmaal niet in de steek.
